Interesting (No, I’m not going to tell you why, you have to read it yourself!)
If you’re needing a little playlist help, here’s a start.
Playlists - 1980’s - part 1
Ever since I started running glacially, i mean, “base building”, I’ve had to change up my music a bit. Music with a very fast beat encourages me to speed up my pace such that I inevitably bring up my heart rate.
Lately, I’ve been running to two genres of music:
- Classical - this provides a totally different experience. It’s actually lovely; although, I think it’s better suited to outdoor running.
- 1980s Pop - I know all the words, so I just get really into the music. Fortuantely, my gym has a neglected “ladies area” where I can jam out excessively to a very limited audience. I do find that I have to save the really upbeat stuff for that supposedly inevitable future when I can up my pace, though.
So, here’s what I’ve been plodding away to (on shuffle) from the 80’s. Some of it just makes me laugh, and if that keeps me chugging along, that’s a victory! Some of it is too fast, but I’m keeping it around out of optimism.
